3 cups chopped apples
1 1/2 cup cooking oil
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon
1 cup nuts (optional)

To make:

1. Pour oil in bowl, add sugar and eggs and beat well. Add sifted dry
ingredients and flavoring.

2. Fold in apples. Bake in 13x9x2 inch pan or mold.

3. Bake in 350 oven for 1 hour. This keeps well for up to a week. It may be used as dessert or breakfast.
